By Chuck Reherman, Sports Editor – The class 6A Region III Tournament has been switched to Tuesday and Wednesday on Monday to avoid potentional bad weather.
Millerette head coach Heather Shanahan said the coaches agreed to make the switch and move the tournament up a day.
The Millerettes will open the tournament against Putnam City West at 9 a.m. at the Millerette Softball Complex. Southmoore and Midwest City will play at 10:30 a.m.
The losers of the two first round games will play at noon and the winners’ bracket final is et for 1:30 p.m.
The loser of the winners bracket game and the winner of the losers bracket will play at noon Wednesday. The championship game is set for 2 p.m. If the team with one loss wins that game, the teams will play again at 4 p.m. The winner advances to the state tournament.
