Obituary: Odessa Maxine Ruth Mosley

1055

Odessa Maxine Ruth Mosley passed from this earth surrounded by her family in the comforts of her home on February 5, 2018. She was 90.

Odessa was born in southwestern Oklahoma on June 30, 1927 to James and Maude Pritt. She loved the small town simple life where she raised her four daughters and worked at Western Electric on the shop assembly line.

After living in Denison, Texas for many years, she moved to Noble, OK; Moore, OK; and most recently, El Reno, OK to live close to her children and their families. She loved the Lord, Betty Boop, and to always “be right.” You could find her at home watching the old cowboy westerns with John Wayne, crocheting during Law and Order, or listening to country music. As her family grew, so did her love for them.

Odessa is preceded in death by her parents James and Maude Pritt; husband Chuck Brown; husband John Brown; husband Buddy Mosley; daughter Donna Brasseaux; brothers Clarence Pritt, William Pritt, and James Pritt; and sisters Edith Pritt and Thelma Gardener.

She is survived by three daughters Carolyn Rainwater (Earl), Barbara Brooke (Bob), and Sandra Howard (Robert); seven grandchildren Paula Goodson (Terry), Jason Black (Maria), Jennifer Karr, John Brasseaux (Pat), Mandi Harris, Mike Lines, and Aaron Lines; twelve great-grandchildren Cord Goodson (Shann), Jay Black, Macy Black, Mason Black, Raquel Rivera, Caleb Karr, Coby Karr, Mike Harris, John Harris, Logan Lines, Jackson Lines, and Rylie Lines; and three great-great-grandchildren Corben Goodson, Ky Goodson, and Chloe Goodson.

Odessa’s funeral service will be held at the Smith & Turner Chapel in Yukon, OK at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018. Visit http://www.smith-turnermortuary.com to leave a condolence for the family.
