A two-year-old boy who was found unresponsive in Mulvey Pond has died, city officials confirmed Thursday.
“Around 12:40 Thursday afternoon the Yukon police department responded to a report of a missing child,” city spokeswoman Jenna Roberson said. “He had only been missing about 20 minutes before they received that phone call. They headed out to City Park and a two-year-old white male was found in Mulvey pond. He was unresponsive. The first responders started CPR and first aid. Samaritan Ambulance Services transferred him to OU Children’s Hospital. At 1:43 p.m. he was pronounced deceased.”
No further information was available at press time Thursday afternoon.
