White JV sweeps four games from Edmond North

A “perfect sweep.”
Yukon swept it’s four game series with Edmond North, posting 9-1 and 12-0 wins over the Huskies at Miller Field.
YHS improved to a combined record (with A and B teams) of 28-0. Yukon had beaten North 3-2 and 6-2 on Monday in Edmond.
The Miller A team used a six-run sixth inning to break open a close game and take the 9-1 run-rule with. The inning was highlighted by Carson Lee’s bases clearing double that sent the Millers to an 8-1 lead.
The White team had four hits in the inning. Mickey Boyer singled and Colton Dekinder doubled to lead off the inning. Boyer and Dekinder scored on passed balls to make it a 5-1 game. With the bases loaded, Lee doubled to the gap to drive in three runs and take an 8-1 lead.
Kobe Flow capped the game with an RBI double on a fly ball to shallow left field, 9-1.
The Millers had taken a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a double from Levi Davis and regained the lead 2-1 in the bottom of the second on Austin Arnold’s RBI single. Carson Benge’s RBI single in the third opened a 3-1 lead.
Dekinder led the hitting with a 2-for-3 day and eight other batters had one hit.
Josh Holston went the distance on the mound, allowing run on four hits and had six strikeouts.
Yukon 12 North 0
The Miller B team scored nine runs in the second inning and rolled to a 12-0 win in the nightcap.
Caleb Terry led the Miller eight-hit attack going 2-for-2 with four runs batted in. Caden Herndandez was 2-for-2. Zach Fees went three innings and allowed one hit to pick up the win on the mound.
The Millers had taken a 2-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single from Terry and a ground out. He tripled to drive in three more runs in the nine-run second inning. Cody Pfieffer and Colton Phinney drove in runs to open an 10-0 lead. The final run scored on a passed ball.

Nic Scavitto’s walk-off single in the bottom of the third inning drove in the 12-run of the game and ended the contest on the run rule.
Yukon 3 North 2
The White A team scored the go-ahead run in the top of the fifth inning and held on to beat the Huskies 3-2 at North.
Dekinder singled to drive in Austin Arnold, who had been hit by a pitch, to score the go ahead run.
Miller pitching turned away North in the final three innings, allowing only two baserunners.
Davis’ two-run scoring double in the top of the third inning spotted the Millers to a 2-0 lead. Arnold and Dekinder had singled around an out before Davis’ hit.
Dekinder led the hitting, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Benge went the distance on the mound, working seven innings and allowing two runs on three hits, while striking out nine.
White JV 6 North 2
The Millers erupted for five runs in the first inning and used the pitching of Caleb Reed to post a 6-2 win over North.
Reed worked all five innings and allowed two runs on three hits, while striking out five. Hernandez went 2-for-2.
Yukon scored five times in the first inning on an RBI single by Colby Baker. Two more runs were scored on bases loaded walks and two on hit by pitches.
The Millers added a run in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Phinney.
