West Point Church of Yukon will host their second annual brunch and fashion show for a good cause.

The event begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28 at 1600 S. Richland Road with a brunch and fashion show to follow. Three women will model at least three outfits from Lula Roe, a popular direct sales clothing vendor. Seven crafts and other direct sales vendors will also participate.

The Church, a Disciples of Christ Christian denomination, will donate the proceeds of ticket sales and a percentage of vendor booth proceeds to Ability Connection of Oklahoma. The charity is formerly known as the Oklahoma Cerebral Palsy Foundation.

“We holding in honor of Mr. Mark Novak who has Cerebral Palsy,” organizer and church member Angela Kasbohm said. Novak’s family are members of West Point.

Kasbohm said the church plans to do a fundraiser every year for a charity. Last year it raised money for the Oklahoma Hemophilia Research Foundation.

Tickets are $10 and are available to purchase by contacting Kasbohm at 405-443-8601 or Anita Whelpley at 405-365-7211.

The church is a popular wedding and special event venue for small gatherings. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
