Evelyn Christene Dorton Mach, age 79, passed away Tuesday September 25, 2018 at her home in Yukon surrounded by family.
Evelyn was born in Fewell, OK to Elmer and Jewel Dorton. She moved to Yukon after graduating from Buffalo Valley High School where she was an avid basketball player. In Yukon she met and married the love of her life, Paul.
Paul and Evelyn were married over 60 years and had four children from their union. Evelyn worked in retail and finance most of her life. The real joy of her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Being from Buffalo Valley, she loved the outdoors. Vacations always included camping and fishing. She loved pulling all of her kids behind the boat, teaching them to ski and swim.
She loved watching Kyle and Kaden play sports. Evelyn will be remembered as a strong woman. There was no job that she would not tackle from digging French drains to working on vehicles and home repairs.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother Jerry.
She is survived by her husband Paul, daughters Debra of Yukon, Paula of Warr Acres, Diane of OKC, and son Gary and wife Waisse of OKC, sister Joyce Cherry of Yukon, five grandchildren Misti Stephens and husband Dan of Bethany, Brandi Mach of Bethany, Dillon Mach and wife Kristen of Clinton, Casey Mach of Clinton, and McKenna Mach of Helena and five great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the loving care from Interim Hospice. A funeral service was held Friday, Sept 28 in the Smith & Turner Chapel with burial following in the Yukon Cemetery.
