Pawn shop burglary leads to high speed chase

On December 7, 2018, at approx. 04:34 a.m., the Yukon Police Department received a burglary alarm for Big K Pawn Shop located at 330 Elm Ave in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Yukon Police Officers responded to the business and observed two subjects exiting through a broken glass door. Officers chased the suspects on foot through an ally where one suspect jumped into a vehicle which was waiting with another suspect who drove the two from the scene. The other suspect who was still running on foot was later caught by officers.

The vehicle that fled the scene was located by officers who tried to make a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to stop and continued to flee in an attempt to elude police before it crashed into a house located near Poplar Ave and South 10th Street. Both suspects in the vehicle exited and continued to flee on foot. The two suspects were later apprehended by officers near the vehicle crash site.

The Yukon Police Department arrested two adults and one juvenile from this incident. The Yukon Police Department was able to recover stolen property from Big K Pawn shop and other criminal incidents. No injuries were reported by the homeowner of the house which was damaged by the suspect vehicle.
