Carol Marie Horne, 78, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019, in Yukon, OK. Carol was born on April 24, 1940, in Kingfisher, OK to Floyd and Gladys (Loftis) Pendergraft.
Born and raised in Kingfisher, OK, she married her beloved husband in 1958 and raised 2 children, Robin and Robert, Jr. They moved to Yukon in 1963 where Carol was a homemaker and also worked for Yukon Public Schools from 1979-1981.
Carol attended Christian Heritage Church where she taught a Sunday school class for children and was always known as “Teacher Carol”, and also served as an elder. She enjoyed babysitting and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. Carol served God and her family with unconditional love.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Horne; great-granddaughter, Tinley Faith Anderson; father, Floyd Pendergraft; mother, Gladys Marie Pendergraft, and three brothers, Jim, Eddie and Gene Pendergraft.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Anderson and husband Larry of Yukon, OK; son, Bob Horne & wife Natalie of Mustang, OK; grandsons, Jeremy Anderson of Calumet, OK; Jason Anderson and wife Rita of Yukon, OK; Joshua Anderson & wife Jennifer of Yukon, OK; granddaughter, Sarah Horne; nine great-grandsons, Hayden and Reed Anderson, Chevy and Ezra Anderson, Justin and Ayden Ballard, and Sage, Tripp, and Rhett Anderson, and great-granddaughters, Emery Anderson and Brianna Rose Horne.
Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 7, 2019, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Yanda & Son Funeral Home, P.O. Box 850119, Yukon, OK 73085 to assist with funeral expenses.
