Yukon police officers responded to a bank robbery and are looking for the suspect.
The thief entered the RBC Bank, 800 Garth Brooks Boulevard, at 9:30 a.m. Friday and police received a call approximately 15 minutes later. At least three FBI agents were on the scene to assist.
The suspect is male but was dressed as a woman, police said. He entered the bank and demanded money from employees who complied.
“The suspect was identified as a white male, mid to late 60’s, and medium build,” an FBI prepared statement reads. “The suspect was last seen wearing a red wig, sunglasses, blue jeans, black shirt, and a black jacket. The suspect was seen carrying a black canvas bag.”
The suspect left driving south in a vehicle.
The FBI did not disclose the amount taken in the robbery but did urge the public to consider him armed and dangerous.
“The suspect did make known the possession of a weapon,” the FBI statement reads.
“No injuries were reported,” FBI spokeswoman Andrea Anderson said. “The FBI is working alongside the Yukon Police Department.”
Police are searching for the suspect and his vehicle.
