Vera L. (Potter) Thompson, 88 of Yukon OK, passed away at midnight on May 20, 2019.
She was born July 1, 1930, in Elk City, OK, a daughter of the late Reuben Paul and Nancy Emma (Bradford) Potter. She lived with her family on their homestead in West Elk City.
Vera graduated from Elk City High School in 1948. She then moved to Wichita Falls, TX to attend Cosmetology School that lead to her 44 year career as a hairdresser.
Vera loved life but what she adored the most were her three wonderful children: Paula Terry, Keith Crow and Tracie Gray. Her love did not stop with her children but only extended to her many grandchildren: Travis Terry, Stephanie Terry, Caleb Gray, Joshua Gray, Gabriel Gray, and her great grand-children: Storie Terry, Jacob Terry, Zachery Terry, Kylie Pierce and great-great-grandchild, Leo.
Vera loved working, helping others and you could always count on her for a good laugh.
Vera is survived by her two daughters, Paula Terry and husband Stephen of Yukon OK, and Tracie Gray and husband Patrick of Mustang OK; five grandchildren; 4 great-grand-children; 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews, and a very special sister-in-law, Julia Potter.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son, Keith Crow; sisters, Pauline Wingo, and Arline Worley, and brother, Rueben Paul Potter.
Celebration of Life services were held Friday, May 24, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at the Yukon Cemetery.
