Motorists will not be allowed to drive on State Highway 4 in Yukon between Wagner Road and Wilshire Boulevard after Thursday’s downpour washed away much of the roadway, local authorities confirmed.
Yukon public works employees and police officials do not expect Piedmont Road to last and should be shut down for at least two weeks for repairs.
The road is being held up by the soil only, which is rapidly washing away, city officials said.
