Mary Jo “Jody” Bringaze

Mary Jo “Jody” Bringaze, 70, passed away with family by her side Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Jody was born on July 27, 1949, in Moberly, Missouri to the late John and Virginia Longmire.

She graduated from high school in Quincy, Illinois in 1968. Shortly after high school, Jody received her beautician’s license where she ended up working in a wig shop styling hairpieces.

Jody worked for 30 years as a bus driver for Yukon Public Schools where she drove for special needs children. After retiring from Yukon Public Schools, she worked at Big Lots for 16 years to fill her time.

Throughout the years, she was Days of Our Lives number one fan. She enjoyed cooking, making her “famous” homemade noodles for her loved ones, gardening and critiquing others (especially, Misty) of their gardening skills and spending her time with her grandchildren.

She was a loving Mom, Granny & friend to everyone else.

Before her mother’s death, she spent every Saturday with her Mom doing her hair, eating Luby’s for lunch, and ending their day at the grocery store.

Survivors include her two children; daughter, Chanice Civick; son, Jason Bringaze and wife Misty; grandchildren, Davin, Kirsten, Connor, Ashtin, Chace, and Rhea; great-grandchildren, Addie, Aaliyah, Easton and her brothers John and David Longmire. She also leaves behind many other adoring family and friends.

Rest assured as she is now spending every Saturday shopping at T.J. Maxx with her late friend, Bunny and an endless supply of McDonald’s Cokes.

I love you more.

A Celebration of Jody’s life was held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 9th, 2019, at Yanda and Son Funeral Home in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Yanda & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Yukon, OK.
