Ross Michael Garrett, 63, died on November 12th, 2019, a victim of an armed robbery shooting at his place of work in Yukon, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Renee Conley Garrett; his first son, Aaron Garrett & wife Misty; granddaughter, Andromeda; his second son, Devin Garrett; his brothers, Richard and Russell Garrett from Colorado Springs, Colorado and Roy Garrett from Middleton, New York; and dog Cocoa.

Preceded in death by his parents Cora (Hunter) Garrett and Howard Mike Garrett; his brothers, Raymond Garrett and Randy Garrett.

Ross was born on October 27th, 1956, in Sterling, Illinois to Cora (Hunter) Garrett and Howard Mike Garrett. He graduated from Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1972, served in the United States Army until 1980, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Oklahoma City University in 1986.

In 1978 he met and married his wife, Renee Garrett from Parkersburg, West Virginia. They have been residents of Yukon, Oklahoma since 1982. Ross enjoyed working and held
positions at Dayton Tire, Memorex Telex, and 7-11 Convenience store.

Ross Garrett never met a stranger, always ready with a warm smile. He had a great sense of humor and liked to make people laugh. Ross loved to cook, his specialty being smoked meats, banana nut bread, potato salad, and baked beans. He enjoyed getting involved and volunteering at the MDA events held by 7-11.

Ross was very close with this six-year-old granddaughter Andromeda and loved spending time with her on his days off.
