Niebling was presented the Employee of the Year Award on Dec. 13, as family walked in to surprise him and see him accept the award.

Niebling has served the City of Yukon for five years. Fellow employees describe him as a difference maker: Dedicated, caring, and proud of the work he does.

City employees participate in two rounds of voting to elect the award recipient. Other candidates for the award were Sara Schieman and Jay Ross.
