Dr. Michael Furgeson M.D., Ph.D., 68, passed away Saturday, December 21st, 2019. He was born October 10th, 1951 in Sherman, TX.
Michael married the love of his life, Tammi Furgeson St. Patrick’s Day 1990, sharing nearly 30 years of marriage.
Michael graduated from Baylor University in 1976 with a Master’s degree in anatomy, and in June 1984 he received his MD from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Michael and his late wife Tammi ran his business, Furgeson Family Care Clinic, providing care to the citizens of the OKC metro area for 35 years.
In his time as a physician he delivered 5754 children and remembered each one individually.
He was the director of Russell Murray Hospice, from 1992 until his death, and was also the director of the Canadian County Health Department.
Michael was preceded in death by his loving parents, Velma and Oscar Furgeson, and beloved wife, Tammi Furgeson.
He is survived by children, Morgan and Logan; sister, Martha Hays; brothers-in-law, Ken and Keith Belshe, and sisters-in-law, Debbie Wittrock and LaShawn Kochenower.

Services were held Saturday, December 28 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at the El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, OK.
