The team caps the first week on Jan. 9 traveling to Tulsa to compete in the Booker T. Washington Invitational at Washington High School.
The Miller and Millerettes have competed in seven meets so far this season, including hosting their own meet on Dec. 14. The meet, one of the largest in the state., drew 28 teams from across the state to compete.
“We have seen improvement in the team every week,” YHS head coach Bruce Clifton said. “The boys team has swam well in all their meets so far and our girls team keeps getting better and better.”
The Millers are coming off a strong performance in their own meet finishing sixth overall.
YHS has been led by Isaiah Auld, who had a pair of gold medals in the meet. Auld has also set five school records so far this year. The Miller relay teams have also had solid outings, collecting gold medals in different meets.
