Members of the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 6 arrested Anthony Wyman, 48, after he unknowingly shared child pornography with members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (Dallas Office) who are also Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce members.

The Canadian County District Attorney’s Office has filed two counts of aggravated possession of child pornography against Wyman, whose address is listed in the 10200 block of Paisley Road in Yukon.

This investigation began in November 2019 when FBI made a download from Wyman’s computer which was sharing graphic prepubescent child pornography.

FBI referred this case to Canadian County Sheriff’s Office since the computer sharing child pornography was reported to be in Canadian County.

Wyman was arrested at his house when investigators executed a search warrant for electronic devices which could contain child pornography.

Wyman cooperated and provided a confession to investigators regarding his habit of downloading child pornography.

Wyman told investigators he began downloading child pornography for two years.

Wyman also showed investigators the various electronic devices which contained child pornography.

Investigators executed a forensic examination on scene and were able to verify he was in possession of child pornography on his desktop computer

Investigators collected from Wyman’s computer various pornographic videos of children ranging from one to 14 years of age being raped by male adults and/or children forced to perform sexual acts on other children.

Once investigators concluded Wyman was in possession of child pornography, he was arrested.

Canadian County Sheriff Chris West

“I am committed to detecting and removing monsters who prey on our children,” Canadian County Sheriff Chris West said. “Predators who download child pornography feed off of the desire to harm children sexually and I want to do my part to end it.”

Investigators seized multiple electronic devices from Wyman’s home for examination.

During the forensic examination at Canadian County Sheriff’s Office, forensic examiners also located additional child pornography on another hard drive belonging to Wyman.

The forensic exam is still in progress as additional child pornography will likely be found.

To date, over 800 videos and images of graphic prepubescent child pornography has been seized.

Wyman was taken to the Canadian County Jail, where he was booked on two counts of aggravated possession of child pornography.

His bond was established at $10,000 and remains in jail.

Wyman faces life in prison and $10,000 fine on each felony count.
