For the third year in a row, The Good Fight Church, 500 E. Main, is the Yukon host site for the IF Conference.

IF is an annual conference held globally. This year’s conference dates are Feb. 7-8.

Amy Bowles, IF coordinator and emcee, and the church’s Courageous Kids coordinator, explained that the event includes live worship on site, and simulcast speakers.

Bowles said that 75 women attended the Yukon conference in 2019.

There is the conference schedule:

  • Friday, Feb. 7 – Dinner served at 5:30 p.m. Conference is from 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 8 – Breakfast served at 9:30 a.m. Conference is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and lunch will be served.
  • Snacks will be available throughout the conference.

Cost to attend and cost for meals are donation based. But all women ages 10 and up are welcome to attend, whether they pay or not.

Bowles said those attending will receive a notebook. She encourages attendees to bring a friend, as well as a Bible if desired.

“The church is about moments to unify, not buildings we occupy,” she said.

A flier about the upcoming women’s conference states: “IF God is real, then more than anything, we want to live like it. What IF instead of focusing on the chaos and crashing waves around us, we passionately pursued the ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE US?”
