Nobody was hurt in a traffic collision Wednesday morning that involved a Yukon police officer.

The four-vehicle, rear-end crash occurred about 7:20 a.m. Feb. 12 at State Highway 4 (Piedmont Road) and Ash, north of Main Street. The vehicles, which were driving southbound on Highway 4, were all damaged.

“A Yukon officer was involved in a four-vehicle accident,” Yukon Police Maj. John Brown said. “There are no injuries. The Yukon officer was not the cause of the accident. The driver who was the cause of the accident report was issued a citation.”

One or two of the vehicles had to be towed. The police car, and the other vehicles, were driven off the scene.

The traffic collision report has not yet been completed, Maj. Brown said.
