Yukon Public Schools will open the pre-kindergarten application process at the beginning of March to select students for the district’s 2020-21 Pre-K program.
All Oklahoma school districts have the option of offering Pre-K programs to eligible students; however, because Yukon schools’ classroom space is in short supply and class sizes are limited to 20 students, the district conducts a drawing toward the end of March to fill open seats.
Beginning Monday, March 2, parents will go to http://www.yukonps.com and complete the online Pre-K Application form. All applications will be due on Tuesday, March 24.
Drawings to determine which students may attend will be held on Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27.
Individual school enrollment begins Wednesday, April 1.
If a YPS patron needs access to a computer/internet, they may visit the YPS Enrollment Center during normal operating hours to complete the online pre-k application.
After the pre-K drawing is complete, district officials will post the selected students’ application reference number instead of their names on the YPS website (www.yukonps.com).
Those students whose names are not drawn will be placed on a waiting list for possible future placement.
If a student’s required enrollment has not been completed by the school site’s date listed below, that student’s spot will be forfeited.
