Patrons and staff at the City of Yukon’s Dale Robertson Center celebrated a Mardi Gras Party over the lunch hour on Tuesday, Feb. 25 inside the center, 1200 Lakeshore.

“We decided to have a full parade with ‘krewes’ that worked for a month to organize their ‘floats’,” center supervisor Casey Barnett said.
The krewes paraded around the dining room to fun Zydeco music and tossed beads and other treats to the crowd of spectators.
The Queen’s Krewe was the winner of the King Cake made by local caterer Clint Eaves.
“This was the first in what we hope to be many more Fat Tuesday parades at the DRC,” center supervisor Casey Barnett said.
A great time was had by all at the City of Yukon’s Dale Robertson Center, according to Barnett.
The Yukon Parks & Recreation facility offers programs for active people age 55 years and above. Lunch is served Monday through Friday and van services are available to take participants to and from the center.
More than 35 activities are offered weekly – including dance classes, physical fitness classes, trips, arts classes, crafts, board games, and cards.
