Eastbound Interstate 40 lanes will be reduced east of Yukon in eastern Canadian County Thursday night for work connected to the new turnpike.

Eastbound I-40 will be one lane between State Highway 4/Mustang Road and Morgan Road from 7 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation reported.

Ongoing construction is connected to the new John Kilpatrick Turnpike extension, ODOT reports.

Crews have completed two new bridges on the turnpike from Wilshire Boulevard to State Highway 66 just north of I-40. Check yukonprogressnews.com for updates.
