Freeze warning issued, chance of snow for Canadian County overnight

An April snowfall is possible overnight in Canadian County, the National Weather Service reported.

A freeze warning is in effect from midnight to 9 a.m. Tuesday. The low temperature in Yukon will be near 32 degrees.

The forecast follows:

Monday night
A slight chance of rain and snow before 10 p.m, then snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 32. East, northeast wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday
Snow likely, possibly mixing with rain after 10 a.m, then gradually ending. Cloudy, with a high near 48. North northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday Night
Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 30. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 6 mph after midnight.

Sunny, with a high near 61.
