Marcia Carlene (Tolle) Landes passed away Tuesday, April 14th, after a brief illness at the age of 84.
Marcia was a beloved member of the Yukon community for 48 years. She and her husband David moved to Yukon from Enid. They were members of the First Christian Church where Marica lovingly volunteered for numerous roles, but especially loved singing in the choir. Marcia entered the workforce, after being an amazing stay-at-home mom for many years, as a child-welfare secretary for the Canadian County Department of Human Services. She always provided a loving and warm home for her children and grandchildren.
Her family grieves her loss, but they take comfort knowing David and Marcia are together again.
Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, David G. Landes, and parents, Wendell and Aleta Tolle.
She is survived by her children, Phillip Landes and Kimberly (Landes) Rex and husband Christopher, and grandchildren, Garrett, Jordan and Kate Rex. She is also survived by her sister, Phyllis Simmons; brothers, Gary Tolle and Wendell Tolle; sister’s-in-law, Joyce Bellmon and June Wheeler, and nineteen nieces and nephews.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church, 601 Maple St., Yukon, OK 73099.
Viewing will be 12 noon – 5 p.m., Saturday, April 18th, and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday, April 19th at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon, OK.
Private funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 20th at First Christian Church, Yukon, OK; however, the service will be available to watch online by logging onto YouTube – Yukon First Christian Church.
