Yukon’s Main Street came alive on Saturday, April 25th.

The brainchild of Yukon High graduate Shawndelle Hobbs Mitchell, an unofficial Cruise Main Street with family and friends brought hundreds out of their homes for a nostalgic cruise on Route 66.

Classic cars, pickup trucks, family cars, and hot rods started at 10 W. Main Street. Then they cruised west to Garth Brooks Boulevard, back east to Sara Road, and all over again from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Groups peppered the route in lawn chairs.

The numbers included families, children, pets, and a lot of smiles.

While others cruised, the 10 W. Main Street parking lot remained packed with people who mingled and chatted.
