Matthew John Rousey passed away suddenly on May 11, 2020 at the age of 35. Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, May 16 at the Bricktown Event Center, 425 E. California Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73104, with graveside service following at 3:30 pm at
the Yukon Cemetery, 660 Garth Brooks Blvd., Yukon.
On Monday, May 11, angels received one of the BEST! Matt was born on November 19, 1984 in Chickasha, OK to John and Melisa Rousey. Matt met the love of his life, Natalie Towles, through mutual friends when he was just 16 years old. He graduated from Yukon High School in 2003. Matt and Natalie purchased their first home in Yukon, OK in 2011 and were married on October 19, 2012. As the owner and operator of Rousey Trucking LLC since December of 2014, he always worked hard and sacrificed to provide for his family. In 2015, while living in Yukon, their family grew with the birth of their first daughter, Rylee Marie Rousey. They finished building their new home in El Reno, OK in 2018 shortly before the birth of their youngest daughter, Reese Madison Rousey. They could always be found spending time with family and friends creating unforgettable memories.
Matt was truly loved by so many family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Natalie Rousey and daughters, Rylee Marie and Reese Madison Rousey, of El Reno, OK; grandfather, Earl Chappell, of Duncan, OK; mother, Melisa Rousey and step-father, Michael Welch, of Yukon, OK; father, John Rousey, of Norman, OK; brother, Dillon Rousey, of Yukon, OK; step-brother, Nick Welch and family of El Reno, OK; step-sister, Kristen Welch and family, of Yukon, OK, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matt was preceded in death by three grandparents, Rosa Fay Chappell, Wenonah Rousey and Kenneth Rousey.
