A decades-old cold, icy drink has changed at 7-Eleven stores.
It is the end of ICEE’s era.
Yukon 7-Eleven managers Kevin Piper and Cody Tudor on Tuesday afternoon displayed the new Slurpee machine at the Vandament and Holly Avenue location.


7-Eleven stores recently announced that ICEE drinks would no longer be sold at their stores, ending a more than 50-year partnership.
In 1965, 7-Eleven stores in began marketing the icy drink that was invented by Dairy Queen owner Omar Knedlik in 1958.
