An El Reno man has been arrested in the attempted abduction of a 14-year-old girl near Yukon’s east side, police reported.
Kevin Lee Teurman, 39, was arrested by a Yukon police officer.
About 4:45 p.m. Thursday, May 14, an Oklahoma City police officer was called to the Kingsridge addition near Vandament Ave / NW 23 and Kingsridge Drive. A man told the police officer he had confronted Teurman near a 14-year-old girl who had been on a bicycle. The man said Teurman was trying to get the girl into his vehicle. Teurman ran from the man who approached him and then got back in his car and drove away. Teurman was stopped on Ranchwood Boulevard by a Yukon officer, an Oklahoma City Police report states.

The man who confronted Teurman and then called police, said the girl was riding the bicycle when Teurman approached her.
Teurman allegedly told her he had been asked by the girl’s sister to pick her up. The girl did not believe him, and she rode away as the man showed up and confronted Teurman, the police report states.
Family members of the 14-year-old girl said they had never seen Teurman before the incident, the report states.
Teurman was taken to the Oklahoma County jail, according to the Oklahoma City police report. He remained in the jail Monday without bail.
