The Yukon Little Anglers Fishing Derby returns to Mulvey Pond this year.
The event is 8 a.m. Friday, June 19 at the pond, 2200 S Holly Ave.
Boys and girls, ages 5-11, will fish in three categories, biggest fish, smallest fish and most fish.
The free event is sponsored by the Yukon Parks and Recreation Department.
The fishing derby registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The derby will end at 11 a.m.
Anglers must provide their own fishing rod and reel and bait.
The pond has recently been stocked by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation with perch and catfish.
