Timothy Shawn “Tim” Nicholson


Timothy Shawn “Tim” Nicholson, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2020 in Hobbs, NM. He was born October 21, 1972 in Camp Pendleton, CA.

Tim was a Field Engineer for Nalco Champion. A dedicated employee and hard worker, he worked alongside his best friend Ryan Malloy. He was a Master Mason of the Yukon Masonic Lodge and a member of The Guthrie Scottish Rite.

Tim met his wife Trisha in 2001, and they married in 2006. They welcomed their son Noah into the world in December 2008. A loving father and husband, his son Noah was the center of his world along with his niece Haleigh who he loved like his own daughter.

He was a selfless man who always put his family first. Tim always had a smile on his face and was the life of the party. His fun, loving, easy going personality always had everyone laughing with his endless jokes. Tim enjoyed spending time with all of his family and friends, having family barbeques and taking family trips. He found great joy in outdoors and gardening.

He was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Tim will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those he touched as his many wonderful memories will be cherished.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Amy Elizabeth and Kara Lynn; maternal grandparents, Maxine and Jim Higby; paternal grandparents, Bill and Ethelyn Nicholson; uncle, Pat Higby; uncle, Justin Kight and cousin, Andi Higby.

Tim is survived by his wife, Trisha; son. Noah Nicholson; parents, Michael and Debra Blue and Tommy and Neva Nicholson; brother, Nathan Blue and wife Tammy; brother, Andrew Blue and wife Ann Margaret; sister, Elizabeth Ruyle and husband Branden; sister-in –law, Tish Brown; nieces, Haleigh and Tierney; nephews, James and Christian, as well asnumerous other relatives and many friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
