Don lost a yearlong battle with cancer on Monday, June 22, 2020.

Don graduated from Garber High School in 1955 and enjoyed playing alto saxophone in the high school marching band and going to all of the football games.

Don attended OSU in Stillwater, OK from 1955 until 1958. He then went to work for the Arkansas State Health Department in Little Rock, Arkansas as a Lab Technician until 1967. After that he worked in power line construction from 1967 to 1969 in Oklahoma and Texas, and then for Folding Carrier Corporation, which later became Unarco Commercial Products. In 1986 Unarco closed the OKC plant. Don then attended OSU in Oklahoma City, studying microcomputer electronics.

Don married Linda May on July 22, 1989, at Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.

Don continued his education at OSU and completed his certificate in Microcomputer Electronics. After graduating, he worked as an Electronics Technician for Seagate Technology where his wife Linda was also employed. In 2000, Don and Linda were laid off when Seagate shut down the manufacturing operations. Don then worked for four and a half years at First Baptist Church in Mustang, where he and Linda attended Sunday school and worship services regularly.

Don was an avid reader, and he and Linda enjoyed fishing, traveling, camping, and hiking the Colorado mountain trails together.

Don was much loved by his wife Linda and all who knew him for his kind and caring heart, and great sense of humor, and he will be greatly missed.
