The latest building mural creation of Yukon artist Carlos Barboza is catching some eyes along State Highway 66 on the east side of town.
Barboza is known for his work on the outdoor building mural at 10 W Main Street and others.
The most recent work includes a sign that reads, “Smile! You’re in Yukon,” on the new building for Yukon Dentistry & Braces.
A smiling woman wearing eyeglasses is painted on the side of the building that is just east of other Yukon Crossing retail buildings under development in the 800 block of E Main Street. It is just west of Yukon Parkway on the north side of Main Street, State Highway 66.
A residential addition is being built to the north of Main Street with single family homes and duplexes.
The work on the dentistry building is expected to be finished this summer.
Barboza is from Costa Rica. He moved to Yukon when he was 10 years-old.
