A swelling crowd enjoyed food trucks, and the tunes of Irv Wagner’s Jazz Combo, at the City of Yukon’s third free live-music summer series, on Thursday, June 25, at Chisholm Trail Park, 500 W. Vandament Avenue, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The group started the night with a Louis Armstrong impersonation of “When You’re Smiling” that made you look twice.

A professor of trombone at the University of Oklahoma, award-winning Irv Wagner has traveled the globe, entertaining and also teaching master classes.

He’s known for playing his trombone with his toes and the spoons at the same time.
The free Concert in the Park series at Yukon’s Chisholm Trail Park will continue when Big Train and the Locomotives takes the stage on July 9, playing Red Dirt blues.
