A man from Yukon was executed in Indiana Tuesday morning, according to reports.

Daniel Lewis Lee, 47, claimed he was innocent before the execution in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Lee was convicted of killing a family of three in 1996 in Arkansas.

It was the first federal execution in 17 years.

The Supreme Court cleared the way for Lee’s execution on Monday after it had been blocked by a lower court ruling, according to reports.

Chevie O’Brien Kehoe is serving three consecutive life sentences for the deaths of William Mueller and his family, Nancy Ann Mueller and her daughter Sarah Elizabeth Powell.

Lee, a white supremacist, was an accomplice in the killings, authorities alleged.
