Fourth death from COVID-19 reported in Canadian County

A fourth person from Canadian County has died of COVID-19, the Oklahoma State Department of Health reports Tuesday.

There have been two Yukon deaths during the pandemic reported since March. One person has died in Mustang and another person died in El Reno, the health department reported.

On Tuesday, INTEGRIS Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon had 8 patients who have tested positive for COVID-19, spokeswoman Brooke Cayot. She said the person who died most recently was not hospitalized there.

Yukon has the 12th most cases in cities in the state currently with 367 total cases reported, two deaths and 283 people having recovered.

Canadian County is in sixth place statewide for the number of cases with 674 total cases, four deaths and 513 people recovering.

There have been 25,433 cases statewide with 452 deaths and 19,750 recoveries, the health department reports.
