Pediatric healthcare providers, Variety Care Inc. has announced new staff members, Dr. Alecia Hanes, Jennifer Fulmer, APRN-CNP, Alexandra Martin, APRN-CPNP, Dr. Regina Tomichen, and the entire Yukon Pediatrics family to the organization. All providers are accepting new and existing patients still at the same location, 508 W. Vandament Ave #210.
Variety Care merged with Yukon Pediatrics last month.
According to a news release from Variety Care, the healthcare provider pursued Yukon Pediatrics because of the clinic’s skilled and highly qualified providers and staff. The merger will offer an assortment of benefits for patients and the entire community of Yukon. By incorporating best practices in coordinated primary care, Variety Care Yukon Pediatrics will have a considerable influence on the quality of care received by patients while ensuring that costs remain affordable, the release states.
“Dr. Alecia Hanes has been a leader in her community for over 30 years, improving the health of thousands of children in Yukon,” Variety Care CEO Lou Carmichael said. “The goal of this merger is to remain laser focused on what Dr. Hanes and her team does best: providing the best pediatric care in Yukon to children in need.”
For 88 years, Variety Care has cared for more than 1.5 million Oklahomans while generating a multitude of positive health care outcomes for patients and entire communities. The merger immediately impacts the care of 4,000 patients and further solidifies Variety Care’s position as the Sooner State’s leading Federally-Qualified Health Center.
“Caring for the children of Yukon has been the highlight of my career,” Hanes said. “Merging with Variety Care was the next logical step in ensuring that my patients garner access to advancements in pediatric care.”
Variety Care connects residents in central and southwestern Oklahoma to 125 professional health care providers and other health-related wellness programs. The merger is the latest in Variety Care’s long-term commitment to improve the state of health in Oklahoma, the release states.
