Heat advisory issued for Yukon Wednesday to Thursday

Temperatures will feel like 107-108 degrees


A heat advisory has been issued for Wednesday through Thursday for Yukon, the National Weather Service reports.

The heat index will be 107-108 degrees with high humidity, the weather service reports.

The advisory takes effect at 1 p.m. Wednesday and will remain in effect until 7 p.m. Thursday.

People should drink plenty of fluids and take precautions outdoors. Motorists should not leave any children or pets in vehicles.

The high temperature in Yukon Wednesday will be 97 degrees with a heat index of 107.

The high temperature Thursday will be 100 degrees with a heat index of 108.

Friday temperatures will reach 100 degrees.

Cooler weather is ahead next week.
