The crowd was a movin’ and a shakin’ when the rockin’ country band Champ Devere penetrated the air at Chisholm Trail Park, 500 W. Vandament Avenue. The last concert of the season for the City of Yukon’s Concert in the Park series was a big hit with music lovers on August 6.

The band started off with several high-energy, Wanda Jackson-style rockabilly tunes that brought adults and children up out of their lawn chairs to dance in the grass.

Music lovers clapped along as the high energy brothers from Konawa sang their tunes.

Introduced as Rockin’ Blue Bill, their dad wowed the crowd with his harmonica.

On Thursday, August 13, a stand-alone movie in the park event, featuring E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, starts at 8:30 p.m. at the park’s gazebo.

Admission is free, and there will be food trucks on site.
