Harold Leon Head, 76, of Yukon, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 in Hobart, OK. He was born September 24, 1943 in Cordell, OK, to James and Eva Lee (King) Head.
Moving to Yukon in 1950, Harold graduated from Yukon High School and continued his education for two years at Central State University in Edmond, OK.
Harold married Darla Boutwell on October 30, 1965, sharing 54 years of marriage.
He was employed as a Chief Dispatcher at OG&E for 25 years. Harold decided he was not ready for total retirement, so he began working for Western Farmers Electric Cooperative, where he remained for 10 ½ years, retiring in 2006.
The family would like to thank the Hobart Nursing Center and Rehabilitation and Comforting Hands Hospice in Elk City for their care and compassion.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eva Lee Head, and in-laws, Earl and Floye Boutwell.
He is survived by his wife Darla Head; daughter, Tammy Loula and husband Brian, and grandson, Tyler Loula and wife Ashley.
Viewing will be held 12 noon to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon. His life will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
