Randall L. “Randy” Thomas, age 68, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at his home in El Reno, OK, after battling a long illness. He was born February 28, 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK.
A 1970 graduate of Putnam City West High School, he was a member of the first class to graduate from the school. Randy then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. While in Junior high he met the love of his life, Renee Redburn, and they were married in 1972.
Randy worked in the wholesale candy business for M.R.&J. Brokerage, a position that relocated him to Gore, OK for a decade. In 1986 he moved to El Reno where he worked for the Canadian County Assessor’s office. After leaving the Assessor’s office, Randy owned and operated R&R services for over 25 years.
A proud member of the Choctaw Nation, he enjoyed living the western lifestyle, participating in annual wagon trains and went on trail rides all across the country.
Randy was a dedicated grandpa. He spent many days hunting and fishing with his grandkids and countless hours over the years with their 4-H and FFA projects.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Randall” Thomas and Joyce Thomas, and his wife Renee.
Randy is survived by his daughters: Macie Thomas and Mandy Kamm and husband Patrick; grandkids: Wade Thomas, Sophia Kamm, Tennison Kamm, Shepherd Kamm and Tucker Kamm, all of El Reno. He is also survived by his sister, Shelia Thomas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK.
