Second grade is not too young to become a cheerleader.

And in Yukon this fall youth football games gave the girls a chance to cheer. Cheerleaders have been on the sidelines for the Miller Red and Miller White teams’ games this fall, said Cheer Coach Kelsey Mathews.

The second grade Yukon Miller’s White and Red squads are formed through the Yukon Youth Cheer Organization under Matthews. The White squad is coached by Ashely Springer and Tina Crenshaw. The girls recently cheered Saturday October 17th at the Miller’s White vs Choctaw White. See story on the game in Progress Sports, page 7B.
