Outages down to less than 4,900 in Yukon

Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co. crews are restoring power in Yukon Saturday, and the number of outages has decreased, OG&E reports.

There were 4,832 outages Saturday morning about 9 a.m., according to the OG&E website.

Less than 162,000 customers were without power in the state. That included Piedmont with 1,214 and Okarche with 467 outages in Canadian County. Mustang had 1,262 outages Saturday morning.

A tree debris collection site was set up by the City of Yukon at Frisco Road and State Highway 66.

In El Reno, where power has been restored to downtown in the county seat, there were still 6,126 outages about 9 a.m.

Large convoys of utility trucks and crews were seen along State Highway 66 on Yukon’s west side Friday afternoon. Crews were also in the Surrey Hills area.
