Whitney Moore of Reydon wore green earmuffs with brown-tipped elf ears. Cassie Romberg of Cheyenne had a pair to match.

They had red and green elf running outfits too as the crowd gathered for the Yukon Chill Your Cheeks 5K race as Christmas In The Park Opening Night brought the holiday season to the city.

There was a place to ice skate and ride the train.

The light displays were aglow at dark. Other runners wore Christmas-themed outfits and others dressed for the chilly weather.

Carli and Angela Strange warmed up before the race.

Angela Strange, in a red and green Christmas top, said she did not expect to be cold while running.
