The Christmas in The Park performance from the Army Band has been canceled due to COVID-19, City of Yukon officials report.
The 395th Army Band to perform as a part of Yukon’s 25th annual “Christmas in the Park” event.

The 395th Army Band, a U.S. Army Reserve unit based in Mustang, was set to take the stage on Saturday December 5th as a part of the City of Yukon’s 25th annual Christmas in the Park. Led by Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jordan Kinsey, the band is comprised of several smaller ensembles which enable the unit to cover a wide range of musical styles / genres.
At least two of those smaller ensembles were scheduled to perform at the event, offering two different takes on holiday music.
A message from band spokesman Chip Brewster reports, “We are no longer allowed to get together in person which means we will be unable to play at this year’s Christmas in the Park. I’m obviously incredibly disappointed but hopeful that come next year we can reconnect and truly turn this into an annual partnership.”
