Wayne Curtis Miles

Wayne Curtis Miles

Born April 26th, 1945 to Curtis and Wilma Miles, Wayne was the youngest of five children with older sisters Marcia, Marlene, Connie, and Nedra. Wayne will be forever missed by Patti, his wife of 50 years, sons, Curt and Greg, daughters-in-law, Angie and Melissa, and grandchildren, Aubrey, Monica, Preston, and Devin.

Wayne was a 1963 graduate of N.E. High School and then attended Central State University. Wayne was drafted into the Army in 1967 and during his tour in Vietnam, he received the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars with Valor.

After leaving the Army, Wayne began working with his father as a Marble Mason when he met Patti in 1969 and they married in 1970. Wayne then entered the Automotive Industry as a Factory Representative and this led to them opening Jack Rabbit Auto Parts in El Reno, Ok in 1981. Wayne and Patti owned and operated the store until being purchased by O’Reilly Auto Parts in 1995. Wayne retired in 2013 and they enjoyed traveling in their RV all over the country for the last 7 years.

Wayne could light up a room and was a friend to all who met him, a role model to many people, a hero to his country, and a loving husband and father until the end.

A graveside service will be held at Yukon Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 4th with plenty of room for social distancing for those who would like to attend.
