There is a 70% chance of precipitation Sunday, and snow could be on the ground by sunrise in parts of Canadian County, the National Weather Service reports.
The low temperature early Sunday will be 31 degrees in Yukon, and the high temperature 37 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. North winds will gust up to 23 mph.
Up to 4 inches of snow could fall across northwestern parts of the state Sunday, the weather service reports.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 46 degrees in Yukon. Northwest winds of 6 to 14 mph will gust up to 20 mph.
There is a 30% chance for snow early Sunday as temperatures drop before sunrise.
On Monday, skies will be sunny with a high temperature near 44 degrees.
The low early Tuesday will be 29 degrees before sunrise.
Skies will be partly sunny Tuesday with a high of 40 degrees.
Wednesday will be sunny and 45 degrees.
Temperatures will drop to 28 degrees before sunrise Thursday with a high of 49 for the afternoon.
Meanwhile, rainfall for the year in Canadian County is down compared to last year.
El Reno has had 31.11 inches of rain for the year 2020 as of Friday, Dec. 11 compared to a total of 42.70 inches in 2019, the Oklahoma Mesonet website reports.
Yukon had 47.22 inches of rain in 2019. A year-to-date total for 2020 was not available Friday from Oklahoma Mesonet.
