About 100 power outages in Yukon New Year’s Day

More than 4 inches of snow falls overnight

Wintry weather moves in for New Year's Day.

An overnight winter storm left Yukon with snowfall and a number of power outages, The Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co. website shows.

At 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 1, there were 112 outages in Yukon.

Piedmont had 90 outages.

Mustang had 336 outages.

A winter storm warning was issued for Canadian County and most of the western part of the state expires at noon Friday.

There is a slight chance of more snow flurries before 3 p.m. Friday. The high temperature will be 35 degrees. Saturday skies will clear and the high temperature will be near 41 degrees.
