John Lewis Davis, age 86, was born April 20, 1934 in Santa Anna, Texas and passed from this life on December 31, 2020 at Ranchwood Nursing Home in Yukon.
He served two years active duty in the United States Army and four years in the Army Reserves.
John met the love of his life, Jennie in Pampa, Texas, and they were married on November 25, 1959. They moved to Oklahoma City where they resided for 57 years.
He spent his professional career driving a truck for Mistletoe Express and Teamsters. In his spare time, John enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening, and loved spending time with all of his VA family.
John was preceded in death by his father, Ed C. Davis; mother, Hattie Rebecca Davis; brother, C.P. Davis and sister, Christine Armstrong.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie Davis; son, Rodney Davis and wife Kathy of Shawnee; daughter, Teresa Holmes and husband Jack of Yukon; son, Steve Davis and wife Jean Ann of Sherman, Texas; six grandkids: Autumn Reese, Krista Davis, Brian Holmes, Amber Davis, Brian Burt, and Brad Burt, as well as 13 great grandkids.
Viewing will be 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Thursday, January 7 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
