Debra Kay “Debbie” Aldridge was born April 21, 1954 to William Alfred and Melba Jean McGuire in Duncan Oklahoma. She passed away on January 4, 2021 in Oklahoma City.
Debra Kay graduated from Velma-Alma High School in 1972. She went on to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha where she graduated in 1975 with a degree in Home Economics.
Debbie married Bill, the love of her life, on June 20, 1975 in Duncan and they later moved to Yukon in 1978. Their little girl, Kim, was born in November of 1979.
Debbie spent 40 years working for the Department of Human Services in Stephens and Canadian Counties. She retired in 2016 while working in the state office.
Debbie brightened up every room she ever entered. She always traveled with a beautiful smile and contagious laughter. She so enjoyed sewing, quilting, and was the master of beautiful floral arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 43 years, Billy Leon Aldridge.
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Kimberli Suttles and husband Eric of McAlester; grandchildren, Preston and Kayley Suttles; sisters, Billie Murdock and husband Chuck of Marlow, Oklahoma, and Donna Griggs of Duncan, Oklahoma. She is also survived by several cousins, nephews, nieces, a loving church family, and a host of friends.
Viewing will be 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon. A celebration of her life will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 8 at Yukon Church, 11715 NW 10th Street, Yukon, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon.
