Fair Board incumbents retained

Election set Saturday, Feb. 13 to decide one seat

Canadian County Fair Board members are elected to serve three-year terms.

Two incumbent members of the Canadian County Fair Board who did not draw opponents for an upcoming election were certified by County Commissioners in a meeting Monday, Feb. 8.

Fair Board Member Clint Reuter, of District 2, and Board Member Michael Crowly, District 3, did not draw opponents for the Saturday, Feb. 13 election. An election will be for the District 1 fair board seat at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Canadian Conty Fairgrounds Education Building, 220 N. Country Club Road in El Reno. People must be in-person to cast ballots that are counted Saturday and a winner announced. W.J. Rick Cacini, a Yukon City Council member, is on the ballot to run against incumbent Kelly Beck.

Canadian County Fair Board members are elected to serve three-year terms. The board is comprised of three members from each of the county commissioners’ districts. Other members are Dan Wedman, Calumet, Michael Beard, Calumet, Justin Atkinson of El Reno, Ken Carpenter of Mustang, Phil Carson of Yukon, and Brent Hunt of El Reno. The secretary is Brad Tipton of Oklahoma City.
